I am attempting to host the multi-port G-Player from within VE Pro 5 on a slave PC, controlled via ethernet by Logic on a Mac. I can get around the 16 MIDI channel limit of Logic's AU instruments by using Vienna's custom Logic environment layer "VE Multiport Layer", which allows MIDI on multiple ports to get through to G-Player on the slave PC, but without volume and pan automation.
I can achieve volume and pan automation when hosting Kontakt in VE Pro 5, because Kontakt allows me to "re-direct" MIDI controller data to any parameter, including volume and pan, so automation works in Kontakt. Since G-Player doesn't allow this re-direct, I can't take advantage of this trick here. Is there any workaround to accomplish this in G-Player? Or are we limited to using only 16 channels per port?
