  • Multi-Timbral VST In MIR

    Hi everyone,

I found plenty of old threads about using multi-timbral instruments with VE, but not with MIR. Is there any way that a multi-timbral VST hosted in VEP (say, Kontakt), can have multiple MIR icons, one for each timbre in the Kontakt rack? Or would I be much better off using a different instance of Kontakt for each timbre?

    Thanks!

  • Hi Pyre,

just open as many Kontakt-outputs as you need in VE Pro (use the "+"-sign marked in the screenshot below), add a MIR Pro instance to the added channels (you can simply replace the Panner, if you like), and you're done.

  • PS: ... you don't even have to add MIR Pro manually as soon as you have the "Auto Add MIR Pro"-option set to "on".
