    I've been using the Chamber Strings and am just amazed at the sound - intensely expressive, magnificently played. This is so essential for anyone who is trying to do sampled strings of any kind. Not only is it wonderful by itself for an intimate, close or chamber sound, but I've tried layering it with the ensemble strings and it is perfect - the addition of the individually audible players makes the ensemble have a new level of expressiveness. And the excellent consistency of articulations in the VSL makes going back and forth between Chamber and Ensemble very practical.

    Adding to this the solo strings which I also have and have only started experimenting with is simply fabulous. This is a truly great accomplishment for musicians and composers!

    i heard there were "short stacccatos" samples, what's their use ? is it something you can only perfom with 6 violins ensemble ?

    there are short staccato samples (the Contra Bass I believe has a performance spiccato but not short staccatos)) for all sections and they are very useful. you can articulate faster runs with them or just have really short accented staccato notes. There are a lot of new features in this library that are only in this library.

    That's right, and the performance spiccatos and perf detaches are extremely significant, like the perf legato. A perfecting of the detache and spicc. sound way beyond the single note samples.

    Also, the slow legato vs. fast - it starts with the natural slower attack, or can be used with a faster attack on a quicker line.

    Can we hear some "home demos" ? VSL strings without and with Chamber strings ? [:)]

    So if i understand right fast performance legato and normal performance legato are different samples?

    No, they are the same transitional samples for violins legato p for example, but the attack time is either the original slow attack, or a slightly faster (but very natural sounding) modified attack.
