  • Bow Vibrato

I'm trying to figure out what bowings perf-rep_bow-sl and perf-rep_bow-fa, from solo strings, are suppose to be. I think that these patches are very short to be an effective "bow vibrato" as the manual implies. This is a video on bow vibrato that shows the real bowing. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=i8z23zFvPnU Compare this to the solo strings patches to see what I mean. So the question is what is the purpose of these patches if they are not long enough to function as a "bow vibrato"/ Thanks

  • Can anybody help me understand? Is the bow vib supposed to be that short or it has a different purpose? Thanks.

  •  "Bow Vibrato" is a kind of legato repetition on the same key, the players perform all notes without any bowchange, just with a very slighly accentuation on each new note.

  • Thanks for your reply. So, the difference between "01 VI_perf-rep_leg-sl" and "03 VI_perf-rep_bow-sl" is about the bow change, right? Thank you.

  •  That's correct.
