  • Harmonic Glissandos in Sibelius

I'm trying to get some slow horror movie type harmonic glissandos out of my solo strings I (L2 extended) and having trouble figuring out how to program it. First of all, it is possible to do very slow natural/artificial harmonic glissandos with the solo strings soundset, correct? If so, how?

  • Hello LStephens84!

In order to trigger the "harm-nat_gliss" patches, put them on one of the three empty custom cells of the Solo Strings VI presets for Sibelius. Then you can trigger them with "custom1", "custom2" or "custom3" (only available with Vienna Symphonic Library House Style loaded). More information on how to use custom cells can be found in the "Optimizing Sibelius Playback" manual, page 11.

    Best regards,
    Andi
