  • [SOLVED] Erm... All My Room Packs Just Disappeared...

    Hi all,

I just tried to open a project I am working on (everything was working fine this morning), and MIR announced it could not find any room packs or Vienna Suite plugin information. Sure enough, the folder I had thought the room pack info was in is now empty. The path set in MIR/Options/Preferences looks at something on my OS drive, C:\ProgramData\VSL\Vienna MIR Pro, which is not where I thought they were kept (though I could be wrong). This folder is now empty, though C:\ProgramData\VSL\Vienna MIR (not MIR Pro) is not, and still appears to have room pack info in. I'm copying those files into the Pro folder, to see if that makes a difference. I've also now installed the latest MIR update, but the room packs are still missing. Still not sure what to do about the missing Suite plugin information though.

Any ideas/suggestions/advice, or thoughts why this might have happened? All drives mentioned are internal, and have not been disconnected at any point. Other things on the drives are still working without problems.

    Thanks!

  • It seems as something has chanegd / corrupted MIR Pro`s Preferences. I have no idea what`s the reason for this, sorry to say so.

It`s hard to imagine that your RoomPacks got deleted, though. Just look for the respective files (let your OS search for them) and make sue that the path is set correctly in the Preferences.

The same is true for your Vienna Suite plugins. Just change the respective VE Pro`s Plug-In preferences to the folder which contains them.

    HTH,

  • Thanks Dietz, I have no idea why the problem occurred, but I've got everything back to normal now. The roompacks are in the 'MIR' folder, while the default startup space is in the 'MIR Pro' one. Not sure why, but it started making a fuss when I changed it, so I left it like that and it seems to be working.
