I have a W7 VES server and Mac Pro Nuendo 6 host. I don't know why but when the server is NOT open BEFORE I load the project in the host using VES, I have serious problems with audio AFTER relinking, kind of buffer overload or network problem. If I close everything and I do the right sequence (VES server, host project) everything works great.
If when I have the problem (host project open first, VES server later), I save the relinked project and try to start over with the "right" sequence, it keeps failing forever with no solution.
I found a "workaround": I use to work in preserve mode, so I connect to a NEW server instance and recover my setup. This is quite a PITA, but it works and I don't have to lost everything.
This happened to me yesterday with a client in the room and I lost almost a hour looking for the solution. Of course, rebooting does not make any different.
This is my setup:
PC with W7 and VES updated to the last version.
Mac Pro with 10.8.x and VES and Nuendo 6, updated to the last version
