    Hello,

    I recently updated to the latest Mac version of Vienna Instruments (5.2.11242) as well as the eLicenser (6.4.2.2104), and my Epic Orchestra license no longer shows up on my key as far as I can tell.

    Also, I noticed the Vienna Instruments installer doesn't install the Directory Manager app - I had to pull that out of the .pkg file manually using Pacifist.  Once I did that I am am able to add my VSL directories but they won't show up in the player, apparently because of the license missing from my key.

    Any help would be appreciated - I can't use my scoring template without these missing instruments!

    Hi Jim, 

    With the latest VI installation you are installing the Directory Manager, of course, along with Vienna Ensemble as well. 

    What changed is that Vienna ENSEMBLE PRO now no longer installs a Directory Manager or Library Installer, as it is "just" a container now, and VI and VI PRO need to be installed separately. 

    Regarding your Epic Orchestra license: You simply never downloaded it and probably worked with a demo license all the time.

    Thanks so much for your help, Paul.   As I said though, the latest VI installer did NOT install the Directory Manager application - I've run it on all 3 of my Macs and it is missing from all of them.  I had to use Pacifist to extract it from the .pkg file manually.  Very strange...

    Thanks for the info. Unfortunately we cannot reproduce this here on any of our Macs... anyone else experiencing the same issues (Directory Manager not installing with the latest VI Installer)?

    I have the same problem. I've just installed the latest VEP v4.1 (Mac) and I have no directory manager.

    It needs to be installed separately now, and comes with the Directory Manager.

The upgrade that I first installed is - Vienna Ensemble PRO 4 (OS X) build 4.1.11889 44.9 MB 2012-12-17 16:25 I got this from the link that you posted - Vienna Instruments Software 4.1 (OS X 10.5 or higher, Intel 32+64bit) build 10738 61.5 MB 2012-05-15 09:19 I now have a directory manager, which finds and holds the sample folder. However, when I launch Vienna Ensemble PRO 4 I can not load any instruments - The logo that is normally sat on the extreme left is missing? BobT.

    Hi BobT, 

    If the logo is missing, then something went wrong with the installation of Vienna instruments. 

    Which OS and hardware are you working on?

    You can also send me screenshots to , with a standalone version of VI open, next to the open VE PRO (showing NO VI icon).
