  • VEPro5, Logic Pro X, and Multiport; Oh my!

Now that Logic Pro X is out, is the current multiport layer the best way of connecting VEPro to LPX? Will there be updates to the multiport layer or will it stay essentially the same? Thanks! ~Dana

  • Hi Dana,

The most reliable way to connect VE PRO to Logic PRO (9 and X) is to use it with separate VE PRO instances, as the Multiport solution CAN drop MIDI Events randomly.

Unfortunately, the AU plug-in standard was not changed, so nothing has changed here.

    Best,

    Paul

  • Hi Paul, are you saying that each SOUND should be on its own instance, or each MIDI channel of a multitimbral source? Or each AU ?

    Hi markalex,

One AU VE PRO instance offer 16 MIDI Channels (on 1 port), by design. So you can use up to 16 Vienna Instruments in each VE PRO instance, and each Vienna Instrument contains one instrument.

Please check out our Video Tutorials, these should provide you with the quickest learning curve.

    Best,
