Sonar and VSL Solo Strings - Sounds cuttting off

Hi, I have been using VSL in Kontakt and I am a long time Sonar user, but I just recently the complete Solo Strings package and I'm having issues with the Vienna Instruments VST plugin in Sonar. I have the latest Sonar X2 with the latest VI plugin. Everything is up and running but the samples cut out after a few seconds. Even a single violin without any other instruments loaded will cut off after a few seconds. Obviously I'm not taxing my CPU with a single instrument. I feel like I'm missing something obvious here. Hello Daniel!

What kind of "cut outs" are you talking about? Do the samples sound cut off? Please notice that the Solo Strings are not looped. So the samples will end naturally after some time.

Another possibility would be that the hard drive with the sample content is in sleep or standbye mode and only the part of the samples that's loaded to your RAM gets played.

The sounds trail off naturally when I play them live, but when recorded in Sonar they cut off abruptly. I have about a dozen other VST synths which play fine. For example the EastWest Play plugin is able to play the solo violin passage perfectly, but Vienna just drops the notes. My CPU is showing only around 20% usage since this is a single instrument. Today I installed Sonar and the Vienna library on a different machine and I am getting the same results. It seems to be an issue with the plugin.

Yes, but your playing and a MIDI file aren't the same thing. I would suggest sending an mp3 and MIDI file to support (or posting it here) so that we can all hear what you're talking about.
