I for one would like to know if we'll be able to use multiple MIDI input ports.
Early adopters on Gearslutz forums also seem to report that multicore still isn't handled properly with this version...
196,676 users have contributed to 43,023 threads and 258,419 posts.
In the past 24 hours, we have 2 new thread(s), 3 new post(s) and 93 new user(s).
I agree - I guess I'm a bit impatient but would be great to know what (if anything) has changed/improved with the new Logic Pro X released today! :)
Regards,
CLK
After a small amount of testing with VEP, it seems very little has changed, still using the Event Input plugin etc.
Hi Cyril,
Logic X is out today : http://www.apple.com/pr/library/2013/07/16Apple-Unveils-Logic-Pro-X.html
I supposed you had Logic X for beta testing.
What improvements are liked to VSL ?
Did they improve score ?
To be honest: We were surprised to see the Logic Pro X as well, we didn´t know anything about it.
We´re just digging in like everybody else [:)]
Best,
Paul
On further examination and a direct question to Apple - it doesn't look like they've addressed the spike core problem you get with Kontakt. What is the fucking point of having a 64 bit program like Logic and then loading your computer with a sh$t load of ram only to get almost immediate spikes followed by overload crackles. Waste of time. I will certainly look at Cubase and the its next incarnation whenever that happens.

This is very promising !!
You could add a note length analyser and a lot of feature that will automize Logic to VSL
There is a lot to read at :

Hi Cyril and others,
I owned and used Logic since 13 years. I bought Logic X yesterday. I worked with it about 4 hours. In brief:
Good things :
Less good things :
So, I'm not really happy, but not really unhappy. I have some real disappointments, but some nice surprises too (those little interface details that I began to discovered working concretly with this new version).
(Sorry again for my bad english)
Hope this will be helpfull.
Hello C.B.
Many thanks for your report.
Have you find the manual for the midi script editor ?
That could be very helpfull depending how is stored the midi notes and if you have access to all the score accidents !
Did you try to install Logic X on your MacBook and on your Imac with a single lincense ?
Best
Cyril

I had a quick look it does not seems you can do more than with the environnement !
The new Track Stack is great to work with Dimension instruments.
It's a mix of a Folder track and an Aux track with midi data.
So you can put all 8 dimensions violins midi track with their output in it. Use the main track stack to play 8 violins in unison or open the stack to make divisi part. And you can put inserts and sends on the stack.
Hi there!
Has anyone tried 3R Audio's VSL Performance Tool for Logic Pro X?

Please let me know what you think.
Thanks!
