Sibelius and Vienna ensemble
-
Hello Charles!
This is a very unusual problem. There are only three things that come to mind that could cause this problem.
- You have turned the panorama in Vienna Ensemble to the left.
- The panorama of your soundcard or outboard equipment is turned to the left.
- Your right speaker is turned off or broken.General help on how to set up Vienna Ensemble with Sibelius can be found in our "VSL & Sibelius" tutorial video and in the "Optimizing Sibelius Playback" manual.

I found it!!! An effect in the Sibelius mixer was the culprit!!! How do I handle the Sibelius mixer when using Vienna ensemble? The Sibelius mixer seems to be in the way...??? Also I have special editions/plus 1 and 2.......have a ton of music that I need to use with vienna ensemble/Sibelius and Vienna Ensemble/Logic Pro 9. What's the quickest way to input expressive/realistic notation.......I'm thinking I need to input technique words in Sibelius and it's how I play it on my MIDI keyboard in Logic Pro....is this correct? Any quick tips appreciated...I'm behind on some projects.....but excited about the possibilities of using your software to maximum potential!!! Thanks!! Charles

Hi Charles!
When working with Vienna Ensemble and Sibelius I would only adjust the volumes in the Sibelius mixer. Everything else should be done in the Sibelius Playback Configuration (output and channel configuration) and in Vienna Ensemble (mix, balance, plugins).
Lots of "quick tips" can be found in the "Optimizing Sibelius Playback" manual.
Best,
Andi
