  • VEP just corrupted an instance of Omnisphere

This is so frustrating. A VEP5 setup I had going and saved, when I reload the complete settings of an Omnisphere instance is corrupted/gone. This included tweaked patches and what not, and I frankly will have a hard time reconstructing this. You really should look into this and make some sort of automatic backup system. So bummed!

EDIT: Turns out I was lucky enough to have a Time Machine backup of an earlier instance that worked, so now I can piece it all together, hopefully.

BTW I have also experienced that an instance having several Vienna Instruments in it, completely corrupted all of Vienna's own instruments so I had to delete them and re-load them - this happened somewhere in the past 5 months. Kontakt always stayed intact but your own instruments were there to be seen but could not be opened and no material was there.

  • Simon, may I ask - in between saving and reloading the project, did you update anything on your computer?

  • Hi Conquer.

Nope, nothing. Didn't even install anything new on it.

  • OK, sorry you've had this problem, it's really a bummer when projects become inaccessible. Is it possible the drive you saved the project files on is damaged?
