    I am writing a very epic viola concerto and I need to make the 16th notes louder and more clear, is there a way to manipulate VE to do this?

    I am using VE 64-bit service, I will be buying VI Pro 2 very soon though.

    Getting VI Pro 2 should help, as that will enable you to create extra short articulations, which could help with clarity.

    But, as has been asked: what library/libraries are you using?  Are you using the SE solo viola, the standard viola, or the standard + extended viola?

    I am using the Special Edition Solo Viola+, my current setup is standard VE w/VI (also standard) with Finale 2010.

    For what you are seeking to write, if you have the money, you might wish to consider getting the Solo Strings and Solo Strings Extended.  Having those libraries will greatly increase your options, and provide very important articulations for what you are seeking to write.  The SE libraries are very good, particularly for basic orchestral writing, but IMO do not really provide enough articulations for extensive, detailed, solo writing.

    Adding VI Pro 2 would provide additional benefits, as you could create modified articulations through the "stretch" function.  As I work primarily in an old version of Finale, one method - though a bit slow - of mapping articulations is to add a second staff for each part, and write in the key switches on the second staff.

    I have seen VIPro 2 and I find it great! 😄 I can tell you that for example... the standard Bass Clarinet would be really good addition, It has more options like humanize. Also for example the Trills are a beauty... since there are no accelerations, you have to do that manually with "stretch". Careful not to abuse the stretch options, they can kinda become "distorted" if you abuse them.
