    Hi Dear friends, I'd like to use VE pro to connect my 2 computers. I'd like to know if I can use it or not? Now I mainly work in my Mac book pro with core duo 4GB ram in Mac OSX 10.6.8. I work by pro tools LE 805 with Mbox 2 pro. I have no plan to update the system and daw in a short period. My DAW: Pro tools LE 8.0.5 Mbox 2 Pro RTAS Plug-ins: kontakt 4 & 5 I have Omnisphere 1.56 32bit I have ADD drum 1.5.2 BFD lite 1.5.45 EZ Drummer 1.1.1 Superior Drummer 2.2.3 Stylur RMX What I want to do is to run most of these plug-ins in another computer with windows 7 32bit. Because that PC is powerful computer. But I still want to do MIDI in my Mac laptop. So that my Mac computer will have more ram and CPU to run the pro tools. My question is if the VE pro can make my thoughts come true? And how many license do I have to buy to make this thoughts work? And if any other suggestions are welcome! Thanks a lot

    Hi marchseventh,

    Yes, that´s what VE PRO can do for you. You will be even better off with Win 7 64 bit, because then you can use all the available RAM (btw: What exactly is a "powerful computer"?).

    Your Core2Duo MB PRO is around 5 or years old now - why not move to your PC right away? [;)]

    Pro Tools works on both OS X and Win.

    Thanks friend! My PC is more faster than the Mac book pro. But some time I have to take the laptop go to other studio. And The windows crashes sometime I don't know why. Anyway, if I run the sample library out of the laptop. I will be able to continue to use my Mac book. Good for me;) I still want to know if I need to buy 2 license for two computer? For my situation, do I run the server on the Mac or on the Windows?

    You don't have to buy two licenses. VEP comes with 3 licences, you can use up to 3 eLicencer key, 3 comptuer at the same time. Or you can use one key and swap the license from one computer to the other when you go in other studio with your laptop.

    VEP have 3 licences but VSL librairies have 1 licences.

    Thanks friend. I have purchased it. Really powerful tools for me now. But I found that my 10/100MB router is out of the workflow. Trying to find a gigabit router.
