How can I get my midi keyboard to control the SP-1 player, the way it controls the East West player? For example, my keyboard can change the sounds of EW instruments depending on how hard I hit the keys. But this is not the case when I use it to play the SP-1 player. No change in the sound, either with respect to volume, or timbre. I am working on an English horn melody, very pastoral in nature. When the Eb above middle C plays, it has the wrong timbre - much too loud and harsh. If I use the virtual keyboard, I can get a softer sound by hitting the key in the middle or back. But I can't use the virtual keyboard to record sounds into Sonar. To sum up, when I use my keyboard with the East West synth, the keyboard will be touch-sensitive. However, when I use it to play the SP-1 synth, it is not. I have read the manual, studied tutorials and tried adjusting the velocity XF, as suggested by Paul, but I'm not getting anywhere. If I could just get my midi keyboard to work the way it does with the EW synth, I'd be grateful. By the way, the English horn in SP-1 is incredible!

If your MIDI keyboard is sending velocity information, the VI player will react to it. If it doesn't, you are doing something else wrong.
