Are There More Spaces To Come For Current Room Packs???
Hey Guys, I have Mir PRO 24 with Room Packs 1, 2, and 3. I absolutely love them but was also wondering if they are going to expand? I know you added studio Weiler, but are other great studios such as Abbey Road ( I am DYING to have this one :) ), parmount scoring stage, etc coming? Also for concert halls, I know the Disney Hall would be incredible as well as maybe the Berliner concert hall. As for churches, how about the one they scored the Lord of the Rings films in? I know these each take time due to the thousands of impulse responses required, but I would really love to have a larger collection of hi quality spaces. Cheers!! :) Most of all though, DO Abbey road :P

Welcome Hzambrana,
thanks for your positive feedback - glad to hear that you like MIR Pro. :-)
We have plans for new MIR Venues already. It's not decided whether they will expand existing RoomPacks, or if there will be a new one, though.
Regarding Abbey Road etc. ... I officially promise a full MIR Pro license plus all RoomPacks to anyone who makes it happen! Fact is that we _have_ asked quite a few of these places during the last years, but in many cases the local decision makers are anxious that MIR could take away something from their beautiful rooms, so they simply won't let us in. :-(
.... positive thinking: It seems that the concept behind MIR is very convincing. ;-)
Kind regards,

Now you tell me. Due to a "contractual error" I could have done just that last year, had I known. [;)]

[...] It's too bad some place are unwilling to share their sound, but I suppose it keeps their business up. [...]
That might be the rationale, but as a matter of fact neither Vienna Konzerthaus nor Teldex Studios Berlin (just to name a few) went out of business after the release of the respective MIR Venues. Quite contrary - their managements were happy to see the nimbus of those thought-after spaces spilling over into the virtual world.
... *shrugs shoulders* ....

I can't see somebody deciding NOT to get something recorded at Teldex for example JUST BECAUSE they have MIR. I think anybody who can afford "the real thing" and has no scheduling conflicts with booking a session and has proper transportation to get there, etc etc, will go for a live recording if possible. People who won't make that kind of investment are either just doing mock-ups or otherwise wouldn't go to the particular venue even if MIR didn't exist. It's really silly to me that so many places are so reserved about their "sound".
