  • Dimension Strings Legato

This is an example of the Dimension violins legato - I thought to post this in response to the thread which was saying there was something wrong with it.  There isn't, as it is programmed by VSL flawlessly.  I've become a huge fan of the Dimension recording technique, because it adds a realism that none of the other libraries have.  This recording uses a large amount of humanize in both tuning and timing -

  •  I added a slightly tweaked mix of just the 2nd part - this one uses the "Espressivo Legato" Dimension violins, the first mix uses the "Normal Legato."

  • beautiful sound and music, william!

  • Hi Willian,

it's the best answer for all curious comments i read about DS legato on the other thread [:O] ... Well done !! [Y]

    Best.

    Phil.

  •  thanks Philippe

  •  one other thing about this piece that interested me in using Dimension Strings, is that it actually scored for 6 violins in separate parts, and then the normal compliment of other strings.  So the sound of the ensemble Grieg called for was almost exactly the Dimension violin ensemble.
