    I guess as they're separate patches, their play ranges have to be adjusted one at a time. Imagine if you loaded (say) a bassoon patch and a piccolo patch: their sample mappings are completely different, so any range extension applied to one would be meaningless for the other. To edit eight DS patches' ranges simultaneously, they would have to be seen by the VI software as 'special case' patches, which I imagine would require a lot of programming work for VSL.

    BTW, you can copy some paramaters (such as Mixer settings) from one patch to another, which saves a lot of time.

    i dont think anything special needs to be programed. Simply if you want to edit several slots then you select them , if not then just edit each slot seperate.

    Thius becomes handy when dealing with several cells and with the 8 violins then later cellos, etc..

    I understand why it's a cool idea, but I believe that in order to do what you're asking the VSL team would have to re-program the VI Pro software. Maybe one of them will kindly tell us whether what you're asking is feasible! [;)]

    For anyone who's not tried it, editing the ranges of the eight DS patches one at a time and then re-saving the matrix takes about 30 seconds per articulation. You only have to do it for the articulations you need.

    Ya but ur asuming its just the range and for one articulation,

    There many articulation some are needed with forced mono, forced B , some stransposed, etc....

    So doing each cell does take a very long time and more chances for errors.
