    Hi, Can anybody explain me why I can't load any preset from the MIR Pro Venue Presets V 1.2? File -> Open -> and every preset is shadowed , so I can not pick any to load. Are they for MIR 24? Please help:) Bartek

    Welcome Bartek,

    Could it be that you are trying to access the Venue Presets from the plug-in version of MIR Pro? They are meant to be used with MIR Pro inside VE Pro.

    So , I have tried to launch a preset from MIR 24 in Vienna Ensemble but under factory preset and user preset is nothing. Can you guys give me step by step guide ? I want to mix a piece in logic 9 using one of the presets that came with MIR 24. Please help....:)

    Maybe this will help.

    1.  Download the preset files and extract them to a folder of your choice.  Please remember exactly where you put them.

    2.  Launch VE PRO 5/MIR PRO 24.  This can be in stand-alone, or you can connect a new session inside your DAW first.  Your choice.

    3.  In the VE PRO 5/MIR PRO 24 window (not the little server window, the big VE PRO Project Window), click FILE --> OPEN NEW PROJECT.

    4.  Say "no" to save current project.

    5.  Browse to the folder, where you saved your preset download.

    6.  Pick a preset and click open.

    Done.

    I have tried, but have this: The file you are trying to load was created with a newer version of Vienna Ensemble. Please download and install the latest version at http://vsl.co.at I have the latest version. Is it only for Vienna Ensemble Pro maybe? I have Vienna Ensemble.

    Yup.  If you try to open this in the free VE NON PRO you will get that error.  I know this for a fact because just 2 days ago, I accidentally was testing some new setups and opened standalone VE NON PRO and kept getting errors with my setups.  I even tried HERBS and got the same errors.  After I realized and opened VE PRO 5 they worked instantly.

    So should I give up with using them? Only for pro? It is strange, really. Mir 24 is ok for me, no need for a bigger setup now, but why are presets only for pro version????

    What you see in Vienna Ensemble ("non-Pro") is the plug-in version of MIR Pro. Its actual "main"-version relies on features only available within VE Pro. (Apart form that, we would have to make individual Venue Presets for each and every plug-in host.)

    I know that this can be confusing at the first glance, but please understand that the plug-in version was released mostly as kind of additional option for MIR users.
