Question about special edition extended
-
Hello munmun,
I just checked your registrations, and you have registered (among other products):
Special Edition Volume 1
Special Edition Volume 1 PLUS
As you have registered these products in 2009, I assume that you have installed the DVD versions and you are using a ViennaKey that contains 180 demo starts (older ViennaKeys used to have these demo licenses on them back then).
So you had access to the EXTENDED Libraries of your Special Editions (these are now called Volume 2 and Volume 2 PLUS).
It seems like you have managed to use very little demo starts over the last 3 years, and these are now coming to an end.
Best,
Paul

Hi munmun,
The Special Edition DVD´s contain 2 parts, which used to be called STANDARD LIBRARY and EXTENDED LIBRARY.
As with all our products, the FULL LIBRARY was installed (STANDARD & EXTENDED), so that you can upgrade easily anytime.
You have purchased and registered the STANDARD LIBRARY for Special Edition and Special Edition PLUS.
The demo license with 180 starts that was stored on older ViennaKeys gave you access to the EXTENDED LIBRARY part of your Special Editions, so that you could explore the additional instruments.
Since adding new instruments to the Special Editions would mean adding Extensions to the existing Extended Libraries, we had to abandon the system of Standard and Extended Libraries with the Special Editions, and decided to rather introduce a modular system of Volumes. We're keeping the PLUS name indicating additional articulations.
The new naming convention is as follows:
Special Edition Standard Library = Special Edition Volume 1
Special Edition Extended Library = Special Edition Volume 2
Special Edition PLUS Standard Libary = Special Edition Volume 1 PLUS
Special Edition PLUS Extended Library = Special Edition Volume 2 PLUS
In a nutshell, there are only two changes regarding the product structure:
. The Extended Libraries are renamed to Volume 2.
. New Collections are Vol. 3 (Appassionata & Muted Strings) and Vol. 4 (Special Winds & Choir).
So the instruments that will not be available anymore after the demo license has expired are the instruments contained in the Special Edition Volume 2.
You can add permanent licenses for these collections (Special Edition Volume 2 and Special Edition Volume 2 PLUS) online anytime.
It could also be that you have actually purchased the Extended Libraries for the Special Editions, but never registered those. Please check your receipt.
If you have purchased the Extended Libraries as well, you must have received an Extended Library Serial Number Certificate from your dealer, and of course the price for these collections would be higher than "just" the Standard Libraries.
We can of course also discuss this specific case via email. If you have any further questions, don´t hesitate to contact us at
Best,
Paul
