  • Where is Sib 7 Reverb?

This is sort of off-topic, but where do the effects programs go in Sib 7? I am using Sib 7 with the VSL. The tutorials has you modifying the effects channel (Reverb), but there is not a Reverb .dll loaded into the playback config. I tried put a .dll into the same folder as the VE Pro, but it is not listed in the possible effects menu/

  • Hello thomamd!

You want to load a reverb plugin in Sibelius directly and not in VE Pro, right? In this case please add the folder, where your reverb plugin is installed in the Sibelius menu Play/Setup/Audio Engine Options/Virtual Instruments and Effects Folders.

Please notice that Sibelius 7 32-bit can only open 32-bit plugins and Sibelius 7 64-bit can only open 64-bit plugins.

By the way. The same thing applies for VE Pro. You will also have to setup your plugin folders and take care if you are using the 32-bit or 64-bit version.

It is not recommended to move or copy plugin files, but rather to setup effect folders in your host software.

    Best regards,
    Andi

  • Thanks Andi I assumed it was a problem like that. Perhaps I did not see it working because my reverbs work well as a master effects in sib 7 and not as at all as a plain effect. The channels are on opposite side of the screen.
