  • Hi i have installed VEDP 5 and VI PRO 2 in the server and in the master .....all seems to works now but the remote app on my ipad doesn't connect to the address of the web server.

I have created an ad-hoc wi-fi connection from my macbookpro where i run cubase 6.5 and my ipad, then the macbookpro is connected to a win7 server where i run VEP 5 and VI PRO 2 with epic orchestra like i normally work. The ipda seems don't find the address.....there are some option to set in the sharing settings of the network from master and slave machines for working with remote app?

Normally no extra settings would be necessary, but we didn't test it with the ad-hoc connections (only with the wifi hotspot), since by nature ad-hoc connections are quite unstable. I will ask one of our guys to check. Please also try switching off the firewall.

    Thanks,

    George.

I notice that tapping on the Reverb slider button on the app does light up the on/off reverb button on VI Pro but there is no actual reverb.

It's a bug indeed. Please try turning reverb on with the VIPro interface first, then it should be possible to turn it on/off within the app.

The bug will be fixed in the next build, so that on/off works correctly when enabled from the app.

    Thanks,

    George.

  • i have created a computer-computer wi-fi network in my macbook pro (master with the sequencer running on) and then i have connected my ipad at this network. The slave PC with VEP a VI PRO are connected via ethernet ath the macbook pro like i work normally. firewall are all turned off on my server PC (because it's never was connected to internet). It's necesssary to sharing an internet connection on all computers on the network? or the remote app comunicate with sequencer and theawith VEP like other ipad controller (DAW remote HD, V-Control PRO etc)?

  • Hi I have same problem with the display. It looks like I am zoomed in about 400 percent.

    Patrick

  • Hi Martin,

I understand now. The display is as expected when matrices are filled. It's just that when empty the display shows a giant A empty matrix icon

which at first looks as if there is a problem and we are zoomed right in.

    Thanks,

    Simon.

  • Brilliant app! Congratulations VSL. Made my day[:D]

  • Hello,

Just one important note - the application is *not* a remote control of the VIPro GUI, but is rather a MIDI controller which allows to record CC and keyswitch feedback over MIDI. It has a limited set of those features that can actually be automated.

    Thanks,

    George.

  • Dear VSL Team,

Thank you for vi pro apps.it really expand the flexibility in DAW recording

    You guys rocks!! willy

  • The iPad interface app has changed the way I work with VSL overnight. I no longer have to remember which keyswitch goes with which articulation while recording in real time. I no longer have to use any kind of controller (which once again requires remembering what slider goes to what). Switching between matrices, and A/Bs! And it all seems to work flawlessly. Quite brilliant! Thank you, VSL.

  • Thanks VSL Team, this is an amazing addition and a huge timesaver! There is one little thing which would make this app an absolute blast. It should not be too hard to implement a CC control receiver which switches the 'Control me' of the receiving instrument on. I know it already listens to midi but this is not very helpful if you have already 20 orchestral tracks sending midi data. So if it would listen to one specific trigger only that would be nice!

  • Great works VSL team, a dream come true !

    Hi everybody,

An updated version of VI PRO which fixes the Reverb On/Off bug in VI PRO Remote App as well as a transposition crash is now available in your User Area.

    Enjoy!

  • Hello, Paul.

Is it necessary to reinstall the VI Pro remote app each time VI Pro is updated?

    Thanks.

  • No, it's not necessary as long as the IP address of the computer is the same. The app is basically a web page, and the installed icon is a bookmark.

    Thanks,

    George.

  • HI.

    Love the app. thank you

How do keep the app open and not go to sleep if I dont touch the ipad. Is there a power setting ?

  • This is an iPad-wide setting. Please change this in the global iPad power settings.

    Thanks,

    George.

  • iPad or Android? Anybody using an Android tablet around here? Just wondering if features are equal or if there should be any major point for one or the other... Thanks !

  • Features are equal, however iPad is slightly better supported. For iPad there are ways to install the web application on the home screen and open it full-screen. Android will require installing a separate browser, and also the browser controls and status bars will be always visible, taking the screen space.

Also to work comfortably a rather fast Android tablet will be required (such as the recent Samsung Galaxy). It will also work on cheap Chinese tablets, but will not be as responsive.

    Thanks,

    George.
