    The Mic editor allows me to create a simulation of a Decca tree i.e 2 omnidirectional microphones spaced 2m apart and a third centred 1m in front of the pair. I have routed them in the matrix L R and C I cannot perceive any of the stereo information in this simulation that would be present in a physical recording set up of this type. Is there a flaw in the model? Thanks Mic

    Like I just wrote in a mail to a fellow Beta Tester:

    A Decca tree arrangement is made of non-coincident (spaced) microphones. MIR on the other hand is founded completely on Ambisonics, a highly advanced meta-format which relies on the purest form of a four-capsule coincident microphone array. MIR wouldn't work the way it does without Ambisonics. A real Decca tree can't be realized therefore. But you can come close by using a nearby position for the Secondary Microphone.
