  • Dimension Brass Presets for Sibelius incomplete

It seems the Sibelius presets for the DImension Brass are incomplete.  The matrices for the presets associated with keyswitches D#1, F1, F#1, and G1 are empty.  Also the keyswitch has no effect on switching to the correct matrix when invoking the .2, .3, .4, and 3.+4. dictionary items in Sibelius.

The above comment is true for all the Sibelius presets in the Dimension Brass (e.g., all the presets that begin with .Sib_DimBr).

  • Hello dbudde!

That's odd. I checked again some of the Sib_DimBr presets, but couldn't find one where the matrices you have mentioned are missing. Could it be that you have removed them by accident? Please download the latest version of the "VE Woodwinds + Brass" sound set and check the presets again.

If you still find one (or more) where these matrices are missing, please let me know.

    Best regards,
    Andi

  • I redownloaded the presets and still get the same thing. All of the cells are labelled A1, A2, etc. instead of their respective articulations.  And certain kewswitches from Sibelius do not function as I described earlier.

  • So I looked at this some more.  The matrices seem to be there but rename cells doesn't seem to work in the cases I mentioned.  So it appears they are missing.  Why doesn't rename cells work in these cases?

I found the problem with the dictionary keyswitches.  It probably won't happen in normal scores, but my test score used 1. 2. 3. and 4. individually and so switching between them requires a change in the dictionary to exclude the single players that are not being used.  For instance, for player1, I added the following to the dictionary definition -player2 -player3 -player4.  For player2, I added -player1 -player3 -player4 etc.

  • Thanks on the auto-name cells.  And reset soundID does indeed do what I wanted.  So thanks for that.
