Hello again VSL team,
I just got MIR and it sounds incredible. Amazing job!
Before I got MIR, I was able to achieve full orchestra playback with a 64 sample host buffer by using external reverbs. This was great because I could play my parts in real time. Obviously such a low buffer is not possible with MIR when the full orchestra is playing. I was wondering if there is any way to quickly disable MIR so that I can free up system resources. I want to leave all my MIR positioning settings intact but disabled, and use my external reverbs right until the moment I'm ready to mix then switch to MIR. I tried to set this up by routing each indivdual return channel in my DAW to a MIR VEPro instance using the Audio Input plugin. The problem with this was that I needed 50 Audio Input plugins, and having so many plugins forced me to increase my host sample buffer, thus negating any benefit. In any case, I'd rather not deal with such an elaborate routing scheme, and keep everything on one VEPro instance on my slave (using the Event Input plugin).
Thanks again!
