I get the best results with IAC with Logic
Cyrtil, thanks very much for your quick reply!
I have never worked with iAC before and am have two problems, but you may not be aboe to heap, as you are using Logic (and I am DP). First probelm is that, after enabling IAC, when i attempt to arm a midi track in DP that has been routed to IAC, DP will send me a warning that arming this track would create a midi-loop and will not allow me to arm the track. Hence no midi data can be routed to VEPro5. Second thing is that, if I go back in to AMS, to the setup of IAC, and attempt to remove the "midi IN" port that would be causing the midi loop mentioned above, AMS will not let me change either the number of midi IN's or midi OUT's for the IAC port.
So again, thanks for your quick reply and if you have any thoughts about the above, thanks in advance!

You should look in the DP forum
For Logic to solve this you will link the input to a "monitor"
yes, Karel. I am going to chime in here as I couldn't get any repsonse to my previous post http://community.vsl.co.at/forums/t/32861.aspx@Karel said:
Do you have audio plugins set to realtime in DP's preferences?
but yes, all of my plugins are set to "realtime"

Do those dropped notes happen with other instruments than Kontakt as well for you?
Karel, my sincere apology for being so late to respond to you. The answer is, I'm not sure! 99% of all of the VI that I use are Kontakt, and though I have 7 or 8 others, I have not tested them in sequences.@Karel said:

All that I can add about this problem is this problem seems to be more accute when the amount of midi data in a Digital Performer file gets very large, i.e. if I have only a few DP tracks, using only a few VEPro5/Kontakt5 instances, it is unliikly that I will get dropped or hanging notes. OTOH, if I am doing an orchestral score, in sections where the entire orchestra is playing, there is a very good chance that I will get dropped or hanging notes. And once it happens, the file seems to get terminally corrupted and even if I reduce the number of instruments playing, dropped or hanging notes still occur.
again, thanks for your assistance
