    Hi,
    I'm just getting to grips with the VSL, having recently replaced my 2003 packages with a new set of libraries and relevant supporting software. Alas, my old Tannoy Reveals (and noisy 10 year old SPA200 amp) are struggling to keep up. Any suggestions in terms of replacements? Active monitors?

    I'm using JBL LSR6328P in Studio 1, and have just ordered another pair for Studio 2. They are active monitors, and therefore don't need an amp. They are a touch bright, but other than that I'm very pleased with them.

    Such a personal decision....

    Will you monitor and or mix, with or without a subwoofer?

    And there is the ever present "how much are you willing to spend?"

    DG's suggestion is in the sweet spot at 3000 USD, and are very nice.
