  • Can the existing VSL library be reused with a newly purchased license and activation code?

Hi, Consider this scenario that i already have an activated VSL special edition Vol 1 library with a purchased license. If i want the same library on a different machine , can i skip downloading the huge library and reuse the same with newly purchased license, a new key and activate it with new activation codes?

    1. Copy the instrument files to your new machine
    2. Transfer the dongle to the new machine
    3. Install all software, including the eLicenser software
    4. Run Directory Manager

    You're now good to go.

  • Thanks for that DG, but my question was that if i want to have another instance of VSL on a different machine, can i do it by copying the existing instrument files and purchasing a new licence for the same?

  •  Yes, copy the files and buy a new licence for the samples, and obviously a new key as well.

  • Thank you DG, that solves my problem as i didn't want to wait to download the huge library once again. Finally how complex is it to transfer the license from one key to another?

  • If you are buying a new licence, why would you transfer the one you already have? In any case, all it needs is both dongles, an Internet connection and the LCC software installed on this computer.
