  • IPv6 vs IPv4

How do these ethernet protocols affect VEPro5 if at all? Is there a preference and why? Just saw them amidst our normal slave setups on macpros. (Which all have static IP addresses.) Thanks for the help!

  • VE Pro only supports IPv4 so far, so IPv6 can be ignored.

  • Excellent info Karel. So I assume we should definitely have it turned on for VEP correct?

  • labman,

Not sure what you are even asking [:)] .... You only need iIPv4. Is that the answer to your question?

  • Sorry for the confusion Paul. In the mac network prefs, you can actually turn 'off' either or both IPv4 and IPv6. So I was wondering if they are needed to be turned on at all, for VEPro usage.
