  • Download manager bug - no biggie, but still...

    Hello,

I am new to VSL and in the progress of installing my first purchases (SE complete bundle).

After I downloaded all the libraries I hit "Install" on the first library and all worked well. After it was done installing it asked me if I wanted to remove the install files, which I agreed to. This is where it went a little squirly. The first installed library was removed from the list of downloaded files, but the "Install" button did not update to the new library that now occupied the first line. It still pointed to the library I had just installed and then removed, thus throwing up and error "Cannot find files".

My workaround is to install the libraries starting with the last in the list, then when the line is removed the then obsolete "Install" button is removed along with it.

As I said, no biggie, but still worth investigating.

Btw, I am really impressed by the way the purchase, download and install is handled - top-of-the-line professional!. Can't wait to dive right into the libraries.

    Cheers, Oliver

  • Have fun Oliver.... [:D]

  • Hi Oliver,

    Thanks for the report!

Which version of the DL Manager are you using, on which OS?

    Thanks,

    Paul

  • Yes, duh, this would be useful information, wouldn't it.

    Mac version 2.1.11242

Btw, another little "interesting" behaviour is that when you change the column width of the library list the "Install" button does not move with the rest of the data. again, no biggie, but ...

Another btw., all the libraries installed without problems once I went throught them "buttom-up".

One more, just for completeness of observations: Originally, after I installe the first library and the "Install" buttons did not "move" with the rest of the rows after edelting the install files I clicked on a random "Install" button in the list which started the install of the library that was one spot higher in the list, but the folder that was created was named incorrectly. Meaning that the folder name and the file names inside did not match up. Also the install files were not removed from the list, so I just deleted that folder and installed it again, which worked no problem.

    Cheers, Oliver

  • So, which OS?

    Thanks,
