  • Midi file exported from my notation program is not playing back keyswitches correctly

    Hi to the forum,

I have a file created in Sibelius 6 that is playing back it's keyswitch notes correctly, in regards to an F major glissando using one of the large VI Pro Harp matrices, and it is  playing a C# major glissando instead of an F major one, even though the F major keyswitch note in the midi notes is clearly seen.  I have tried numerous ways but I cannot  correct the C# major glissando to play back as an F.

I'm quite happy to post the harp part of the Sibelius part, and the cubase midi flie part, and the Vienna Ensemble with the harp matrix in it for someone to check what could be causing this to happen.

Thanks if anyone has any ideas on this.

    best,

    Steve.

  • Hello Steve!

The harp glissandi are not included in the Harps sound set, so I guess you have added MIDI commands manually, right?
If these switches are the only thing that's not correct in the MIDI file, I would simply correct them in Cubase.

If this doesn't help, you can send me your Cubase project to support [at] vsl [dot] co [dot] at

    Best regards,

    Andi
