    In the video tutorial, for the keyswitch velocity set up, it says to  control the x axis with key switching and control the y axis with "keyswitch velocity". Well when I set it up that way it only plays in one row of the y axis, the striking of the keyboard, whether hard or softly makes no difference. The y axis always stays in one row, not responding to any velocity difference.

    I could not figure out what I was doing wrong. It worked in the video tutorial, but not for me.

    Until I changed the y axis controller to simply "velocity" Then it worked EXACTLY LIKE THE VIDEO. When I do my x axis keyswitching depending on how hard of softly I hit the keys, it chooses the corresponding y axis correctly.

    The thing that puzzles me is this IS NOT the way it is taught in the video. Why is it different for me?

    Has anyone else experienced this?

    Hello Jamsa, 

    Keyswitch Velocity is a controller that will only be available if the other matrix controller is set to keyswitches. X and Y doesn´t matter.

    This I understand from the video.

    My x axis was always left on "keyswitch".

    But, when I set my y axis to "keyswitch velocity", it did not work at all.

    When I set the y axis to "velocity" it worked as it was supposed to with "keyswitch velocity"

    I just tried it again, still the same.

    OK. I understand the misunderstanding now. I didn't know that the "keyswitch velocity" function was meant for the single axis set to keyswitch, to control both x and y axis using velocity. I thought it was about using the keyswitch AND hitting hard or softly on  the instrument keys to control the y axis, hence it did nothing. But the hard or softly has to do with the actual "keyswitch" key itself. You use it to both control the set key switch, AND depending on how hard or softly you hit it, it will choose the correct setting.

    Sorry, I am just learning this wonderful program.
