Since I'm new to Vienna Ensemble Pro 5 and its use between a master and slave machine, can someone tell me if I'm able to use Vienna Ensemble Pro 5 server with a thunderbolt cable instead of an ethernet cable with a gigabite router switch for communication between my iMac master and my Mac mini slave? I haven't heard of people doing this and I wondered if it was because thunderbolt just recently came out.

I'm sure the asker already figured this out since I'm replying to an old post, but in case someone new stumbles on this thread looking for an answer -- I just set up a VE Pro 5 server using my older 2013 Macbook Air laptop as a slave for my newer 2014 Macbook Pro laptop using thunderbolt. It's working pretty well so far.
