Trouble adding Bass Flute in Sibelius

Hi

I'm working in Sibelius 7 and running all instruments in VE5.

I added SE piccolo, flute and alto flute under manual soundsets, routed to VE5, then added the necessary staves and everything worked as it should.

Then for the bass flute I added an Event Input, selected the WW and Brass soundset, added the bass flute and added a bass flute staff.

Now the C flute staff sends its playback information to the bass flute. The bass flute staff itself works correctly. The SE piccolo and alto flute also work fine. Baically, as soon as I added the bass flute I lost the C flute. I did notice that the C flute has a shorter ID than the other flutes. Could this be part of the problem?

Hello Adriaan!

Please make sure to set the correct MIDI ports for all instruments in VEP 5. As soon as you add a VEP Event Input, you will have to set MIDI In 1 for the instruments that get triggered directly (without an Event Input) and for the other instruments the according ports that you have set up in the Event Input window.
