    Thank you for your help!

  • The bester question, how much time I will save !

I went down from 20mn to 1:40 to load my 97 instruments template

You will save ram but it is difficult to know today as you have to go on trial and errors setting the preload buffer

May be, but I doubt that somebody can answer ! appart reading the answer in a cristal bowl !

It depends of so many parameters !

You have to build your configuration and say I may have not enough memory or I may have too much !

  • Thank you Cyril!

But can you give me an approximation about SSD vs standard drive for ram?  Generally speaking,  does it saves 1/2,  2/3 of RAM,  ect?

    Vincent

  • sorry !

  • No problemo.!  Thank you for your time!  [:D]

  •  Hi Vincent,

I will give you a approximation. In Kontakt 5 I changed my memory buffer from standard 60 kB to 6 kB. So that saves up to 90% of the RAM used.

VSL says on page 8 of the VI Pro2 manual the same. You can save up to 90% or load up to 10 times more samples.

    Cheers,

    Sabine

  •  Thank you very much for the information!  [;)]
