    How do you people work around for something similar to what "Freeze" function does in Nuendo? With that I could at least free up resources when necessary but ith VE Pro 5 this is a huge pain... I simply can't use large number of tracks containing large VIs. Any tricks?

     Does freeze not work for you using VEP? What happens? I have no problem with it.

    Actually I can freeze in Nuendo but it freezes the entire VEP instance (as expected). I can't get VE Pro to freeze individual tracks like that in Nuendo (probably that's how it has been designed). But was thinking if there is a workaround to achieve the results of freeze?

     Ah I see. No, it will alway freeze the entire instance, because that's the only control Nuendo gives you. the only workaround is to use more instances.
