  • Upright bass - UP-slides_perf-leg is empty

    Hi,

I recently bought the upright bass and like it but I am a bit puzzled by the UP-slides_perf-leg patch.

If I drag it into a cell, there isn't any key mapped, it seems to be empty. The other patches are fine. Am I missing something here?

    Janco

  •  Yes, it's empty here too, this is also why the Upright Legato Performances matrix goes wrong on the D1 keyswitch.

  • Just turn up the volume and you will hear the articulation. The name “slides“, though, is misleading - it should better be called “fret-noise“, and you really have to play a legato-phrase. If you play c-e you hear the noice produced by the player’s finger when sliding from c to e. If you play just one note, nothing happens.

  •  No, it is totally silent, it does not work.

However,  if you use VI (not Pro) - it does work,  it just doesn't work in VI Pro (V2.2.10738)

  • So sorry folks,

this bug was already reported two month ago, but unfortunately the fix got lost with the current VI PRO version.

We'll take care that with the next version this Upright patch works properly in VI PRO.

If you need this patch right now, please use meanwhile the non PRO version of Vienna Instruments.

    thanks,

    Herb
