  • [SOLVED] Vienna Imperial not showing up as plugin in VE Pro 5

For some reason the Vienna Imperial is not showing up when I try to add it as a plugin in VEP5.  The Vienna Imperial x64.dll is in the same place as all my other pluginsa and all the others (mostly non-VI stuff) is showing up.  Does it need to go somewhere else to be recognized by VEP5?

    Thanks,

    Mike

    Hi Mike,

It might be a good idea to put some information about your setup in your signature.... You can edit it in your Profile, in the Community Tab.

Please install the latest Imperial Software again, it should show up right away.

    Best,

    Paul

  • Mike,

    ... like Paul wrote. :-)

Some background information: Within VE Pro / MIR Pro, Vienna Instruments/Pro and Vienna Imperial use the proprietary "Toolkit"-plugin format to allow for all the special features that are not available with 3rd party products.

On a Windows-system for example, they are installed in the "Plugin"-sub folder of your Programs/Vienna Ensemble folder by default. Assuming that you had installed Vienna Imperial before you got VE Pro the most simple way to achieve this is to re-install Vienna Instrument and Vienna Imperial players (just the software, not the libraries themselves ... this can be done in a few seconds).

  • Paul and Dietz.

Tried your suggestion, re-installed only the Imperial Software and it worked!

Thank you both for being so patient during my troubles with VEP and MIR.  I know it must be a real challenge for all of you at VSL to keep up with the number of questions and issues posted daily on each forum, and having to deal with frustrated customers (crazy composers especially).  I really appreciate your help and your exceptional products.  I am sure I speak for many when I say your work is truly fine!

I have written to President Obama to request that he make May "National Dietz Tinhof and Paul Steinbauer Month."  Oddly, he has not gotten back to me yet.  Apparently he is not as fast at replying as you two are!  [:)]
