    Hi,

    Here's a question, esp. for Karel and/or Paul:  I have several VEP 5 instances hosted on a slave computer (my VEP 5 and VI Pro 2 software versions are the latest—I just checked).  They're all preserved, and the connections to them (from DP 7.24) are all uncoupled.  I find that, while a DP sequence is open that's connected to these instances, there can be a delay (with spinning beach ball) of up to ten seconds when I switch highlighted channels (e.g., from flute to oboe).  The same is true when I undock a VI Pro 2 instance.  If I close the DP sequence, these delays go away.

    Can anyone shed any light on this?

    Yeah, the chance that the "colleagues at DP" would have even the slightest idea what I'm talking about is pretty minimal—they'd have to be pretty deep into VEP to even understand the question! :=) Since the issue appears to be VEP responsiveness on a slave computer (it doesn't seem to be a problem on local instances), it seemed reasonable to me to ask you guys first, since you're the VEP 5/VI Pro 2 experts.

    Are you saying you haven't heard of these kind of delays with connected VEPs?  I.e., is there some reason you believe this is a DP issue?

    I´m not a DP expert myself, but Marnix will be in the office on monday again, and maybe another DP user can help out here as well.

    No problem.  To be honest, it never occurred to me that it might be a DP problem, but hey, stranger things have happened!  Just figured there might be some known issue with that kind of delay relating to connected VEPs in general (i.e., independent of which sequencer host software is being used).  But yes, I'd be curious to hear from other DP users, and I'll be interested in what Marnix says.
