  • [SOLVED] 44.1 only in MIR 24?

I downloaded and ran MIR 24 before I read the owners manual. The system was running at 48K. It seems to be working OK.

In the owners manual it states that MIR 24 ONLY runs at 44.1K.

Is some sample rate converting going on?

Can you explain what happens withs systems running at 48K?

Most professional composers run their systems at 48K, the standard for film and TV post production.

  • Excuse me - where exactly did you read this statement? MIR Pro (as well as VE Pro) will adapt to all usual sampling rates. The same is true for MIR 24.

    Kind regards,

  • In the Vienna MIR user manual V1.3 Page 31

"CAUTION: At the moment, MIR only supports a sample rate of 44.1 kHz!"

  • Oh, I see. :-) It seems as you downloaded the manual of legacy Vienna MIR from the archive.

What you need are MIR Pro's manuals, available in your User Area: -> http://www.vsl.co.at/en/68/428/709/376/239.htm

That's the direct download link to the actual Preliminary Manual: -> http://dl.vsl.co.at/downloader.aspx?ID=7628  ... you will also find an addendum to this manual that covers MIR Pro''s technical and conceptual background, as well as an Upgraders Guide for users of legacy Vienna MIR.

    HTH,

  • Thank you. I did not look carefully. I thought that the 1.3 Version of the manual was newer than the Ver 1 manual.

I see now that it was from the archives.

Thank you again for your information.

  • Thank you for the correct information.

  • You're welcome! :-)
