  • wich filmscoring program do you recommend in u.s

    Hi
having alredy skills in composition,i am looking for a filmscoring program that combines a)composition and conducting with real orchestra and b)midi orchestration-music technology.Wich is the best in u.s?
1)ucla extension,2)passific northwest film scoring program,3)usc,4)berkley college of music

Is there any one who knows,In these programs, how often do you compose, for what size of instruments and what the fees are?(as i remember usc is very expensive)

Any opinion about the passific northwest film scoring summer program in seattle?

    Thanks

    LT

  • I have taken the Pacific Northwest Program. (the summers session)
It is not as all incompasing as other programs. This will give you tons of basic knowledge though. And its extremely cheap in comparison. I am going to USC in August in their program. I have heard so many great things about it. Its sort of the gold standard as it goes in to all aspects including asethetics etc. plus its a pretty awesome place to hook up with the right people. But its price tag is unreasonable for alot of people around 30,000 tuition.
