    Why 5.0, not 5.1 when inserting au Ve pro surround 5.1? I've checked that in the preference it's 5.1, but the server interface still says "channel configrition: 5.0"

     I'm just guessing here, because you have given absolutely no details about your system, but I think you're using Logic, and it's a Logic bug. A forum search may give you the solution.

    we provide many surround configurations for the VEPro AU, including the 5.1 setup. It is then up to Logic to choose the right one. It doesn't. We have notified Apple about this bug.
