    I have a 12 core mac main computer, and am using my 2 core  2.8Gbit Mac laptop as a slave. I get random stuttering- one moment it works fine, next.it can have no signal for 5-10 seconds. I have one instance with a bassoon in the slave, and nothing in the local.

    Mac 10.6.8 sys Pro Tools 09 native  host, VEP5 latest build(100xx?) downloaded today. gigabit ethernet on card 2 of main

    I thought by increasing the buffer sizes, it might help:

    H/W buffer 1024

    Plug-in streamimng buffer : 8

    Did not change the DAE buffer or cache
