I recently set up a new template using vepro5 in surround and am having 3 major new issues.
1/ eleven if I set both the logic ve instance and the ve server viframe to the same surround config I can only connect if I chose 5.1 in logic , if I try 5.1 with multi outputs they won't connect. I still get an error message saying conflicting configuration found ?
2/ my workaround is to only use one input in logic and do all my mixing etc in vepro but and a big but after a while of working the vepro instance freezes up . I can still play the sounds as they are connected but when I try to access the mixer page in the server by double clicking on its instance title as usual nothing happens . The only way to retrieve the project is to load it into another computer which can open it . My main computer is on lion and the other 10.6 so could that be the issue ?
3/ the worst issue is that I also now have weird hanging notes and sudden playing of sounds on midi channels that I am not accessing . I have never had that issue before and have not changed any of my settings other than upgrading to 5 and using surround. I am however also using more midi instances as I have started using the vsl multi port layer , could that be the issue here ?
My setup
Imac quad 2.7 Lion 10.7 Logic 9.16 set to 8 cores 512 buffer RmeFireface UFX
2 vepro 5 servers with 14 midi ports activated, 1 64 and 1 32 bit with 2 multiprocessors per instance , one instance in each server running only Kontakt 5.02 with multiprocessing off
1 Slave macpro with one 64bit server with 8 instances
