Finale + MIR

Hello

I am a newbie with Finale.

I have all my instruments in score manager

I have one big VE with all my instruments

I have "edit player" of bank 1 channel 1 and assignt it

When I want to "edit player" of bank 2 it is showing me a "New" VE

I cannot select "event input" for my second bank

Is this normal ?

P.S. where do you setup 5.1 in Finale ?

Hello Cyril!

There was a problem with Finale 2012 and VEP 5 on Mac in the last version of VEP 5. Please update to the latest version, where this problem is fixed.

In the second Finale instrument bank, simply load VEP Event Input. Then you should be able to connect to the main VEP instance loaded in bank 1. Please be aware, that this does only work with VEP 5. It doesn't work with VE.

Finale is not capable of surround sound.

Thank you very much.

First I was not able to select "event input", after deleting a few tracks I was able to select it

Can I ask you another question ?

       I am defining the instruments so it is corresponding to my VE

       Can I define this song to be the "template of my studio"

       Then I want to import a midi or an XML file, so this file is using the "template of my studio"

Hi Cyril!

I am not exactly sure what you are trying to do, but as far as I know it's not possible to load a template together with a MIDI or MusicXML file. Maybe the MakeMusic support can be of better assistance here.

The solution was from the forum, just do a copy and paste 

Do you know if Finale has a limited number of measure ? in the trial version ?

I was able to import until measure 250 (instead of 2400)
