    A friend owns the first edition perf set and we noticed there was 0gl legato samples for violins ensemble, viola cello etc.. but we don't really understand the goal of these samples, what's the origin ? portamento samples that are cuted at the beginning ? In which case should we use them ?

    I believe that should be portamento with the attack portion removed -- used for a portamento slide starting from some other articulation.
