New Updates to MIR Pro and Ensemble - Question About Promotions

I was excited to receive announcement that new MIR Pro and Ensemble are coming.

I own Ensemble, but not MIR Pro. I qualify for the current student promotion. I use Mac, not PC.

My question is - What is more cost-effective:

1. Buy MIR Pro now as student, and then upgrade when new MIR Pro comes out?

or

2. Just wait until new MIR Pro comes out?

Oops, I have another question, too:

What system specifications will MIR Pro require for Mac; i.e., can I reasonably expect to use it on my existing Mac Pro Intel machine?

For now, please take a look at the system requirement of legacy Vienna MIR. These reference values haven't changed and will also be valid for OSX:
