  • Instrumental Studies downloadable?

    Hi...

I like the Online Instrumental Studies but it would be fine if i could download the infos (maybe as pdf?). It´s very handy and full of easy-to-understand information. Is it in the planning to make a full "book" of instrumental guideline?

    Thanx, Peter

  • Hi Peter!
Instruments Online is a free service of the Vienna Symphonic Library, trying to provide arrangers and composers with the knowhow they need to work with the sampled instruments efficiently.

Yes, we plan to come out with offline versions as well, the first of which will be on CD-ROM. This edition will contain a lot more graphics and sounds than we can offer you in Instruments Online (we try not to tax your patience to much there regarding loading times).
Illustrated books featuring all instruments of the orchestra and later on lots of effect instruments will follow...

    hope this arouses your interest!

  • For someone like me who´s studying harmony and counterpoint, on both cases in a self-taught way because of lack of time and resources to study in a proper place, and seeing how I still see a bit far reading books on orchestration, these online studies are an invaluable help.

    Thanks again for them.

  • Hello Sabin

Yes i know this an OLD post, but i just ran to it and i wanted to ask about the promised CD-ROM, is it still planned?
