    hello,

    i'm using the vsl special edition with cubase 5 on a mac.

    i have the problem that as long as the interface window is open i can't play the instrument.

    is there a solution for this?

    Hi silvercity, 

    in Cubase, go to "Devices" => "Device Setup" => "VST Audio System" and check the "Release driver when application is in background" box.
